OUR PROFILE
INTRODUCTION
In line with JPPKK's direction outlined in Polytechnic Polytechnic Malaysia's (BPPM) Blueprint and SmartGreen PolyCC Blueprint (BSGPC), Nilai Polytechnic's Green Technology Unit has been established with the aim of cultivating sustainable practices among campus residents through awareness campaigns, organizing programs- sustainable programs and appropriate use of Green Technology. With the cultivation of green practices and the use of Green Technology in the campus, Nilai Polytechnic will also support efforts to reduce the negative impact on the environment and maintain environmental sustainability at the state, national and international levels. There are 7 Focus Areas that are the priority of the Green Technology Unit in cultivating sustainable practices at Nilai Polytechnic as outlined in the BSGPC:
UNIT OBJECTIVES
1. Cultivating Green Technology among the people of Nilai Polytechnic
2. Produce graduates who have an awareness of Green Technology.

​ This objective focuses on providing graduates and citizens of Nilai Polytechnic who have added value in knowledge and skills in the field of Green Technology. Through this objective, various awareness campaigns and sustainability programs will be implemented with the main purpose of fostering the values ​​of love for the green earth by focusing on sustainability in the management of daily life and work. Through the acculturation and experience gained, the graduates and citizens of Nilai Polytechnic can maintain the sustainability of Nilai Polytechnic all the time and educate every person to the value of green sustainability wherever they are.
SCOPE OF TASK
Head of Green Technology Unit: Assist and advise the Director and Deputy Director (Academic Support) in handling the following tasks:
i. Plan annual/semester activities related to Green Technology for the purpose of awareness of the institution's sustainability and understanding of sustainability issues globally for students and members of the institution.
ii. Planning financial requirements to make Green Technology activities a success.
iii. Attend meetings organized by the JPPKK to update information and annual activities.
iv. Manage the participation of Green Technology-related competitions/activities for students and institutional staff as advised by the JPPKK both nationally and internationally.
v. Managing discussion sessions with other Green Technology officers to make the activities successful.
vi. Managing to prepare activity reports and Green Technology Annual Reports.
Green Technology Coordinator
Assist and advise the Director and Deputy Director (Academic Support) in handling the following tasks:
i. Help plan annual/semester activities related to Green Technology for the purpose of awareness of institutional sustainability and understanding of sustainability issues globally for students and institutional residents.
ii. Help plan the financial needs to make Green Technology activities a success.
iii. Assist in attending meetings organized by the JPPKK for updating information and annual activities.
iv. Assist in managing Green Technology related competition participation for students and institutional residents as advised by the JPPKK.
v. Help hold discussions with other Green Technology officers to make these activities a success.
vi. Helping to prepare Activity Report and Green Technology Annual Report.
